Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Dahlias on the Methow. Our farm is located in Twisp, Washington, on the beautiful Methow River. We have a 20 acre farm in which we raise dahlias, Gypsy Horses and AKC puppies. We have been growing dahlias for 12 years and selling tubers & cuttings for 7 years. This is a family affair, all the kids help plant, weed, water and harvest the dahlias all season long.

Diligent care is taken with our dahlias to keep viruses at bay. We sterilize between cuts and when dividing tubers. All of our plants are closely monitored by us for issues such as pests, viruses or nutritional needs. All of our dahlias are grown by us on our farm. We do not grow import tubers.

We are a licensed and inspected farm in Washington State that is examined annually by the Washington State Department of Agriculture.

Ordering

All tubers and cuttings are guaranteed to have a viable eye and be the correct variety. Items in your cart are not confirmed until checkout is fully complete. If you notice items disappear from your cart or change to “Unavailable” during the checkout process, it is because someone else checked out and paid for the item before you.

Orders are fulfilled in the order they are received.

Each listing is for ONE dahlia TUBER or ONE dahlia CUTTING.

Please respect the varieties that are marked LIMIT ONE. Additional tubers or cuttings purchased will be refunded and your order will be charged a 15% restocking fee. Use of purchase ‘BOTS’ is strictly prohibited and order will be cancelled and 15% restocking fee applied to order.

If your shipping address is located in the state of Washington, there will be sales tax added to your order based on your location and sales tax rates.

Order Inspection: Your tubers will arrive individually by variety in a bag with storage medium to insure they don’t lose moisture during shipping. After you receive your tubers, open each individual bag and inspect the tubers immediately. It is a good idea to take a picture of each tuber for your records. This provides me with a timestamp of when you first inspected your order. Make sure to contact me within 24 hours of receipt with any concerns. If your package is not opened in a timely manner and brought inside soon after delivery, there is a good chance your tubers will be exposed to extreme temperatures depending on your climate.  I am not held responsible for orders that are left to the elements in a PO box, mailbox or porch. I am notified when your package is delivered with a timestamp and picture of delivery. This is why it is important for you to check your order and take pictures when you receive it should you have any issues. This protects us both!

Shipping

We will be shipping tubers through USPS priority. Cost for shipping tubers is $15 for any size order. Shipping for cuttings is $23 via UPS 2nd day Air only. Once an order is placed, no changes or refunds will be offered. Most orders will start shipping in early/mid April as our weather allows. Rooted Cuttings will ship early to mid April, as weather and availability allows.

I ship tubers and cuttings to any of the 48 continental states. Sorry, I am not able to ship outside the US currently.

Combined Shipping: Yes, I will combine shipping. Combining orders creates a significant amount of time and work for me to process on my end. The website will charge every order for shipping. Once I get your order, I will see your initial order and will automatically refund all subsequent shipping costs except for a $4 fee per additional order for combined shipping. This fee covers the costs that I am charged by my website host as well as shipping larger and heavier boxes. This will be done automatically on my end and does not require you to email me. If you don’t see shipping refunds within one week of receiving your order (sometimes it takes a little while to process these) please reach out to me. For your orders to be eligible for combined shipping they must have the same contact information and mailing address at the time of the order. Changing the shipping address after an order is placed is not an option. Unfortunately, if your order has already been assigned a tracking number, I am not able to combine shipping.

Local Pickup: Yes, local pickup is available upon request. You will be charged for shipping at the time of the order and will be refunded all shipping fees once pickup is complete. Please email me if you prefer local pickup and I will notify you when your order is ready. If I do not receive confirmation from you within one week of reaching out notifying you that your order is ready, your order will be shipped and no shipping charges refunded.

Replacements

Dahlia tubers are live plants and thus need specific care to thrive, we cannot be held responsible for the care once a tuber leaves our farm. Please open and inspect your tuber immediately after receiving and store in a cool place until planting. Store in a way or medium that will not allow the tuber to dry out or rot. We do not give refunds due to rotting in the garden due to too much rain or watering, pest damage, excessive fertilizer or failure to plant at the correct time.

We will never substitute one variety with another due to stock failure. In the rare event of a stock failure between your purchase date and shipping your product, you will receive a full refund of the unavailable tuber or cutting.

We are not responsible for weather issues, pest damage, or poor customer care. Every tuber I sell is guaranteed to be true to variety. a replacement tuber may be issued for a future season at our discretion. Please be prepared to provide pictures of any issues that are presented. Problems with dahlia tubers or rooted cuttings must be reported by August 1 of the year they were ordered.
